Clarity
Clarity
Anything but all in
is not it.
As when you step from filtered air
to fresh air —
clarity is clear.
As when you put on
new prescription eyes —
confusing,
but clear.
Clarity may cut too deep for comfort,
but it’s truth,
and I choose it.
Choose clarity —
the only way to know.
Feelings, thoughts —
they ripen in clear light.
Prefer the pain
that clarity rains.
Prefer its love,
the same rain.
Dilution has its time —
if you know what, why, when,
where, who, and how it is.
For clarity is choice,
and choice is freedom.
Clarity.
