Too Two

Too many faces are unknown.

So many lynchings have been celebrated.

 Systemic racism's roots run deep.

A variety of strange fruit to eat.

My body is only a body to you.

Humanity is not ascribed to melanin enriched beings. 

Fear permeates oppression and triggers a frenzy.

Your reflection. 

Break the mirrors!

Look!

You will see.  

We refuse to sleep. 

Your lullaby is noise.

This land and people haunt you. 

The trauma of two prayers are no melody
