I'm at work catching up on some things I should have done on Friday when I played hookey.
Can't seem to get you off my mind, not that I want to.
You make me smile on the inside,
feels like sunshine breaking through a cloudy day.
You know that kind of sunshine in spring, after a long cold winter
(I'm from Chicago, just imagine this with me...),
and the birds are positively bursting with joy that spring is finally here
- screaming almost-
no mere chirping going on when that kind of sunshine comes out.
It's hopeful, dreamy, warm, encouraging, happy, motivating, beautiful...
that's how I feel these days, you're like sunshine.
And I like it.
